This is the User Instruction for the
Laboratory Heated Stage.
Features
The HS-50 Heated Stage is intended for use between 25
and 50 degrees C.
The selected temperature is accurately
maintained.
The powerful heating element is Bifilar wound to prevent electromagnetic radiation.
Heating power is electronically switched at zero crossing to prevent electrical noise generation.
Temperature settings cannot be accidentally changed.
An alarm function can be set to produce a visible and audible alarm should the stage temperature deviate by more than 1.5 degrees from the set temperature.
The Liquid Crystal temperature display normally indicates the Actual Stage Temperature. While the appropriate push button is depressed it can indicate the Set Temperature or the Alarm Temperature.
Controls
In the normal mode the Actual Stage Temperature is displayed.
When the push button marked Display / Stage is pushed, the required temperature is displayed and can be adjusted by turning the screw slot marked Adjust / Stage.
When the push button marked Display / Alarm is pushed, the alarm temperature is displayed and can be adjusted by turning the screw slot marked Adjust / Alarm.
The audible alarm function may be turned On or Off by the switch marked Alarm / On/Off.
Setting Up
Turn the Power Switch to On. The switch knob will light to indicate when power is turned on.
Push and hold the Display / Stage push button. Turn the Adjust / Stage screw slot to select the desired temperature.
Push and hold the Display / Alarm push button. Turn the Adjust / Alarm screw slot to select the same temperature set for the stage.
Turn the Alarm Switch to On.
