This is the Instalation Instruction for the

Double Timer and Speed Control unit.

Mounting the Box

Note that the box has mounting holes provided at the top of the base. The two + marks at the top of this sheet are the drilling marks for mounting the box.
Using this template drill two holes for the rawlplugs. Mount the unit using screws through the holes provided in the top left and right corners of the box.

Use rigid tubing which you can push into the pump tubing, fastening with a small cable tie.
If you use soft tubing, insert a non-corrosive ferrule into the tubing prior to insertion into the pump tubing to prevent the pump tubing and the cable tie from collapsing the tubing and restricting the flow.

Support the tubing near the pumps so that the weight of the tubing does not hang on the pump tubing, which would cause the pump tubing to collapse.

Make sure that the tubing used is compatible with the substance to be pumped, as certain types of tubing are damaged by strong acids and alkalis.

This unit has two separate circuits, a Double Wash Timer and a Rinse Speed Control.

The Wash timer has two different time settings.
The first setting is for initial dosing (long), and only runs the first time the unit is triggered after being powered up.
All subsequent triggering to this unit will cause the repeat dose (short) time to run.

Remove power for about 2 minutes to cause the initial timer to reset while making adjustments.

HINT:The initial dose time is about twice that of the repeat dose time when set to the same position. So set the repeat time until you get half the volume you need for initial dose, then set the initial dose time to the same position, then set the repeat time to its correct dosage.

The Rinse speed control runs during the rinse cycle and the dosing rate is adjustable from off to continuous.

A detailed explanation of the connections is shown on the sticker inside the box. Earth must be connected to the green wire on the connection block.

220 volt Power for the Double Wash Timer must be connected to the blue and red wires on the connection block. The blue wire is connected to neutral and the red wire to live, which must be from a point which is OFF when the machine is OFF, and it must be ON when the machine is ON.

The Wash Cycle must now be connected. Here are some possiblilities:

1. The machine may have a line which will go live when the wash starts.
In this case simply wire it to the white "Wash Trigger" connection on the connection block. If the line goes neutral see NB 'b'

2. The machine may simply have a switch or relay point with nothing connected.
In this case run a wire from the red "Wash Live" connection on the connector block to one side of the switch or relay point. Wire the other side to the "Wash Trigger" on the connection block.

N.B.

a. The trigger signal needs to be present for +/- 3 seconds before the unit will trigger.
b. If the unit fails to trigger at all try reversing the live and neutral supply leads.

Rinse Cycle connections.

Connect the Brown and Grey wires from the connection block to a neutral and switched live line which switches on when the machine rinses, ie from a water solenoid.
